Pedersen Building Systems was established in 2003, founded by its owner Ernie Pedersen. His goal was to provide customers the flexibility found in pre-engineered metal buildings combined with an honest and down to earth approach to doing business. Since its inception, Pedersen Building Systems, partnered with Nucor Buildings Systems, has completed multiple projects ranging from warehouse additions to the development of commercial facilities. 

Before Pedersen Building Systems, Ernie was partner in a general construction firm for 10 years, successfully serving the North Jersey area as a pre-engineered builder. Ernie’s responsibilities in this firm included project estimating, site supervision, and project management.

Ernie’s construction experience began 25 years ago, when he began working for and eventually managing the family owned commercial painting business, TE Pedersen Painting Contractors, Inc.
